Dance-On your Toes with Miss Tracey - Year Long Program - Dance on Your Toes with Miss Tracey - Monday This engaging class invites your child to explore and nurture their love for dance and music. Under the guidance of Miss Tracey, students will enjoy a blend of dance styles—including ballet, tap, and jazz—ending each session with a bit of tumbling fun. Along the way, children will develop exciting dance skills, stay active, and build the confidence to shine on stage. Lessons feature upbeat, age-appropriate music that keeps the energy high and the fun flowing. Classes meet once a week for one hour and run for the full year.Registration is open through October 31st. Late registrations will not be prorated.If paying in full right now is a financial challenge, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department. We’re committed to helping ensure your child can participate.Children will learn two dance routines to be performed at the recital at the end of the year.Any questions regarding schedule, shoes, etc, contact Miss Tracey at 617-435-3403The yearly fee includes 1 costume to take home. Dance for Fun - 10 Week Beginner Program - Dancing For Fun - 10 Week Program New! Dancing for Fun – 10-Week Beginner Program Calling all boys and girls - come discover the joy of dance! Have you always wanted to dance? Now is the perfect time to give it a try! Join our 10-week beginner “Dancing for Fun” program, created especially for boys and girls who want to learn in a fun, relaxed, and encouraging environment. Just try it and see if you like it; there's no long-term commitment! Each class includes a fun combination of:
Ballet
Tap
Jazz
Tumbling (at the end of class)
We start each class with exciting warm-up activities like Freeze Dance and other fun movement games to get everyone smiling, laughing, and ready to dance! No special dance wear is needed. Just wear comfortable clothing you can move in. We have extra tap shoes available, or you can wear a comfortable pair of sneakers or other shoes for jazz and ballet. Students will enjoy stretching, learning basic dance techniques, and putting steps together in fun combinations. By the end of the program, they’ll have learned the basics and gained confidence to dance anywhere! Come make new friends, have fun, get active, and discover how exciting dancing can be!Instructor: Tracey O'Brien
