From Clay to Glaze: A 2-Day Botanical Bowl or Tray Workshop

2 day pressed botanical workshop flyer
Create a one-of-a-kind decorative bowl or tray inspired by nature! In this hands-on class, you'll use real flowers and leaves to press beautiful botanical designs into clay before shaping your piece into a unique bowl or tray. Learn basic handbuilding techniques while creating texture and depth that capture the beauty of the natural world. After your piece is fired, you'll return to glaze it in the colors of your choice, making it a functional work of art perfect for holding jewelry, keys, or other small treasures. No experience is necessary—all materials and instructions are included.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own fresh flowers or leaves to personalize their project. Leaves should be no larger than 12 inches in diameter. A selection of flowers and foliage (dependent on availability) will also be available for use during the workshop.

The program will take place on September 8 and September 29.

**Please note that there is a three-week break between the two sessions. This allows enough time for all pieces to be fired in the kiln before participants return to glaze and finish their creations during the second session.**
