Foundations of Handbuilding with Clay
This program is unavailable.
Explore the art of working with clay through traditional handbuilding techniques. Participants will learn how to create functional and decorative pieces without the use of a pottery wheel, using methods such as pinch pots, coil, and slab construction. This class focuses on building core skills, understanding clay as a material, and developing personal creativity in a relaxed, hands-on studio environment. Class fee includes basic supplies.
You will create a unique piece that incorporates the three fundamental handbuilding techniques. Finished items will be available for pick-up approximately 2-3 weeks after the class, depending on the drying time of pieces and kiln firing schedules. Participants will receive an email notification once their piece is ready for pick-up.
